A Summer Day

Owings Mills

I found out recently that I’m not actually in Baltimore. I’m in a lil side town called Owings Mills. Training for snowboarding has been a little sluggish. I participated in a 5k run through the streets of downtown Baltimore and i actually ran the whole thing(with a few short walks to catch my breath). 25 minutes 12 seconds, I placed 529th overall out of 2393, in my age division I placed 13th out of 21. I’m not the best runner and since the race I’ve been moping around the apartment because my legs hurt. Don’t let anyone tell you running alil over 3 miles is easy. Pics will be up soon.

Good news: the first snow fall on the mountain happened two nights ago then some snow up in Mullin last night. So start getting your gear together the mountain might actually open after Thanksgiving like they always say they will.

So it’s October 6th and I’m stuck in Baltimore. Theres lots of rain and it still feels like summer, the trees are still all green. Now is the time to start training for boarding season. This isnt my home but being here has some perks, theres a nice weight room a short walk away, and my familys here to motivate me so we’ll see how things go.

If your not into weights, treadmills, or stepers, then the Wii Fit game seems to be good. I’m going to be on that everyday aswell.
